The organisers of the rally are hearing various scenarios about who will or won’t be entering the rally in October.
Opinions vary between people won’t be able to afford to compete as a result of the Corona Virus or people will be desperate to get out there and actually be able to rally.
It would be useful if we had an indication of which version is the correct one, as we obviously need to be financially viable. Therefore could people seriously considering entering please let the organisers know, so that we can plan accordingly.
Could this message please be passed to anyone else that you know who has an interest in entering.
The winners are……… Chris West and Robbie Hannah in the first ever Fwd car to be crowned champion.
Congratulations to the pair on their 2019 win in one of the most demanding Roberts Jersey Rally ever,
On behalf of the Jersey Rally Organising Committee for 2019, could I thank everybody who participated in whichever role they undertook to help make the event another great success.
We are well aware that every single person in the chain is vital to stage the event, and I would hope that those of you who helped this year, or those of you who would like to help in 2020 will volunteer your names to any member of the organising committee.
Finally, can I thank all members of the general public, be it residents , island officials or spectators for their support, as this is a huge event to stage, and tolerance on behalf of many is required, so that so many people can have enjoyment from the rally.
Jersey Rally Chairman
Rally week has arrived, with a full entry list and a promising weather forecast.
Hopefully, all is in place for another exciting Jersey Rally, the usual array of rally cars evening including a WRC car for this year’s event. All the local top competitors have entered along with roughly half the field being off island crews. The social side of the Jersey Rally is obviously going very well as it is believed that there has been a record number of reservations for the Saturday night dinner!
28 stages are programmed for this year’s event including some of the fastest sections in the history of the rally, so there will be plenty of excitement to entertain spectators next weekend. Rally HQ situated at the RJA & HS at Trinity is also preparing for more spectators with both new caterers and live screening of the rally stages on big screen TVs in the main hall.
Please keep your eyes peeled to this site and our Facebook page for links to the live streaming.
If you enjoy sport that comes with an Adrenalin rush please go out on the stages from Friday afternoon and into the evening and all day Saturday and you won’t be disappointed.
