Reminder -Marshals training evening 24th May…yes next week!

We are holding a marshals training evening on the 24th May at Devils Hole starting at 7.30 pm. The trainer again this year is Ian Howells, Rally GB trainer. All Jersey Rally crews must send along at least one representative. Everyone else is of course also very welcome for what should be a very informative and interesting evening

Jersey Rally needs your help -Stage commanders still needed

We still need two stage commanders and 4 deputy stage commanders. So if you want to get involved in what will be a great motorsport event and have not yet put your name forward or you know someone who may be willing to undertake one of these roles then please contact me on rabuchan@jerseymail.co.uk . We need your help to make the 2012 a success.

Jersey Rally Criteria 2012

We are delighted to announce the formation of the Jersey Rally Committee for 2012 and many thanks are given to the new Chairman Richard Buchanan.

At the Committee’s first meeting the criteria for the Jersey Rally 2012 was approved as follows:

Selection criteria in the event that the entry for the Jersey Rally is full will be: 40 local entries to be accepted and 30 overseas They will be accepted on a First Come first served basis for for UK entries They will be accepted as follows for Jersey Crews: Preference will be given to those who have competed in a Single Venue Rally, Navigational Rally or L’Etacq Atacq Rally organised by the Rally Committee of the Jersey Motorcycle and Light Car Club during 2012. Thereafter entries will be accepted on a first come first served basis. Any Jersey Competitor must carry out a job as requested by the Committee. Marshalling points may be taken into consideration. All entries are at the discretion of the Committee.

If you are intending to compete in this year’s event, it is highly recommended that you attend the PR Meeting for the Jersey Rally to be held on Wednesday 8th February at 7.30pm at the Priory, Devils Hole. This is your chance to discuss the rally design for the 2012 event and the Committee look forward to seeing as many of you as possible there.
